3i Infotech Q1 FY27: ₹177.9 Crore of Revenue, ₹5.07 Crore of Operating Profit, and 25 Subsidiaries With Opinions

At a glance

3i Infotech reported consolidated revenue of ₹177.94 crore for the quarter ended June 30, 2026, against ₹170.55 crore a year earlier — growth of 4.3% — and ₹175.78 crore in the March quarter. Operating profit came in at ₹5.07 crore, versus an operating loss of ₹3.46 crore in the June 2025 quarter and a loss of ₹9.63 crore in March 2026. Net profit was ₹6.46 crore against ₹7.62 crore a year ago. EPS stood at ₹0.31.

Other income of ₹6.39 crore sat alongside that operating profit — a smaller figure than the ₹21.53 crore booked in the June 2025 quarter, which management states included a one-time other income from the US on ECS credit of ₹18.4 crore.

Management reported order bookings of TCV ₹240.9 crore and ACV ₹195.6 crore during the quarter, and 25+ new client wins. Headcount was 3,596. AAA contributed 73.5% of revenue, Infrastructure Services 18.7%, and BPS 7.8%.

The auditors, CKS P and Co LLP, issued a qualified conclusion on the consolidated results. The basis for that qualification runs to three lettered paragraphs, and a separate going-concern section runs to five more. Promoter holding is 0.00%.

Market capitalisation is ₹430 crore. The market pays 11.4x earnings here, against an industry multiple of 21.2x.

The interesting part of this company is not the quarter. It is the org chart.

Introduction

3i Infotech was incorporated in 1993, born out of ICICI Bank, and headquartered in Mumbai. It started serving external IT customers in 1999, ICICI divested its majority stake in 2002, and the company listed on NSE and BSE in 2005. In 2006 it issued a US$50 million FCCB listed on the Singapore exchange; between 2008 and 2010 it pursued multiple global acquisitions using leveraged buyouts. In 2011, the company went into debt restructuring.

That sequence — offshore convertible bonds, LBO-funded acquisitions across continents, then restructuring — is the load-bearing beam under everything in Section 12. It is also why a ₹430 crore company today has twenty-five subsidiaries spread across Mauritius, Nigeria, Cyprus, Malaysia and South Africa.

In 2021 the company completed the transfer of its products business to Apax Partners at a valuation of roughly ₹1,000 crore. In 2022 it invested in NuRe Campus; in 2023 it won its first B2B2C deal from RailTel; in 2024 it diluted its stake in NuRe MediaTech. The company describes 2025 as "closure of legacy issues" and 2026 as the year of a completed rights issue, the launch of an AI vertical, an SAP partnership, and the operationalisation of a Centre of Excellence-led delivery model.

Recent months have kept the filing desk busy. In June the company won a ₹37.05 crore HPCL IT facility management contract for three years. A subsidiary won a one-year UAE professional services order worth AED 13.08 million (₹33.6 crore) in June and a twelve-month UAE IT consulting order worth AED 17.65 million (₹45.85 crore) in July. In May, 3i Infotech Inc, USA received a Pennsylvania sales-and-use tax assessment of USD 833,833.58 plus USD 150,099.24 interest and USD 250,150.09 penalty; an appeal is planned. Also in May, the company received Form 2 under Vivad Se Vishwas covering five assessment years, with disputed additions totalling ₹79,838 lakh.

The company operates from five-plus countries and reports 300+ global active clients.

Business model

Three segments, and the company would like everyone to remember the acronyms.

**AAA — Application, Automation, Analytics.** ₹130.36 crore of the quarter's revenue, or 73.5%. Application development, modernization and support; data operations; BI and analytics; digital-first testing and automation; and, per the offering stack, "AI powered use cases," "Gen AI" and "Agentic AI" as three separate bullet points, in case anyone thought one AI bullet would suffice.

**IS — Infrastructure Services.** ₹33.30 crore, 18.7%. Servers, networks, storage, databases, end-user support, NOC, SOC, cloud observability, SASE and cybersecurity, delivered through a Global Command Centre with 24x7 support.

**BPS — Business Process Services.** ₹13.99 crore, 7.8%. Digital BPO across sales and service, back-office operations, and Registrar & Transfer Agent services.

There is a fourth line called OTHERS, which is Digital Media, which did ₹0.29 crore of revenue and a segment loss of ₹2.49 crore. OTHERS lost roughly eight and a half times what it sold. It is the only segment where the gross profit line has a minus sign, and it has held that distinction for four straight reported periods.

Above all this sits NuRe, the new-age product umbrella: a GRC-and-document-management platform, a quality engineering and test automation platform called Flexib+, a cloud campus management system for higher education, and NuRe Flowbit, a sales CRM listed as "Under Development."
