The Enhanced Surveillance Measure restricts how a stock may be traded; it does not say the company is bad. A stock on the list gets a tighter price band and a higher margin, and at Stage II the exchange tightens it further. A price chart will not show you any of this: a stock stuck at its band every day looks the same as a stock nobody is buying. So it is worth checking first.

Both exchanges. NSE and BSE run this separately and publish their own lists. BSE’s list is bigger, because it has thousands of companies NSE does not list at all. A stock on both lists is shown once, tagged with both. If the two put it at different stages, the row says so — the stricter one applies.
