Dynacons Systems Q1 FY27: Sales Down 5% to ₹311 Cr, Operating Profit Up 26%, and a ₹3,104 Cr Order Book

At a glance

Dynacons Systems and Solutions builds and runs computer systems for banks, government bodies and large companies. The period covered here is the three months to June 2026, the company's first quarter.

Sales in those three months came to ₹311.19 crore, against ₹328.69 crore a year earlier. Management says some deliveries were late because equipment makers took longer to ship parts. The customers had ordered the machines, which were still waiting in a line somewhere.

After paying for goods, salaries and other running costs, ₹39.92 crore was left. That figure is the operating profit, what a business earns before interest, wear and tear, and tax. The same measure a year earlier was ₹31.73 crore. Profit after interest, wear and tear and tax came to ₹19.56 crore, against ₹19.61 crore. Sales dipped, the operating line climbed, and the final profit barely moved.

Confirmed orders won but not yet delivered stand at ₹3,104 crore. That is a pile of promises large enough to need its own filing cabinet. The stock market values the whole company at ₹1,281.97 crore.

Four large contracts and a small dividend were announced during the period, and each is covered in What's Cooking. One pattern runs through the numbers: a company that rents out equipment rather than selling it books rising charges for wear and tear. The yearly shareholder meeting falls on 30 September 2026.

Introduction

Dynacons began in Mumbai in 1995. Its first business was selling servers and desktops built on Intel chips, as an approved "Genuine Intel" dealer. It started life, in other words, as a very serious computer shop.

The shares were listed on the stock exchange in 2000. Over the next two decades the company won large technology orders from government bodies and public-sector companies. Banks then began handing it their offices and branch networks to manage. Managing a branch network means keeping its computers, servers and connections working.

The customer list now includes the Reserve Bank of India, ICICI Bank and Facebook India. The Mumbai civic body BMC and Coforge are on it as well. The company says it covers more than 1,300 locations across India. A Dynacons engineer can therefore turn up at a bank branch in a town most maps forget to label.

The founding families still run the business. Shirish Anjaria, the chairman and managing director, has more than 50 years of business experience. Parag Dalal leads business growth across banking, government and other sectors. Dharmesh Anjaria, the chairman's son, runs the managed-services business and the finance function.

The company lists its own honours with some pride. It says it ranked 63rd in TIME magazine's list of India's fastest-growing companies for 2026. It also says the Financial Times has included it in a high-growth companies list for five years running. Equipment makers such as HPE and Acer have handed it partner awards. Somewhere in Vile Parle a shelf is presumably working very hard.

Its technology partners include Microsoft, Cisco, Dell and HPE. Lenovo, Oracle and VMware are named on that list too. Its main suppliers are the distributors Redington and Ingram Micro.

Business model

A kitchen contractor does not make the stove, the chimney or the cabinets. It buys them from different brands, fits them together, and returns every year to mend the chimney.

Dynacons does much the same for bank computer rooms. The trade name for the job is system integrator. It buys servers, storage, network boxes and software from large brands. It assembles them into one working system, installs it, and often runs it for years.

In the year to March 2026 the business had four parts, and the company reports the split.

Data centre and cloud work made up 34% of sales. A data centre is a room of powerful computers that store and process a bank's data. A private cloud is cloud-style computing a bank keeps on its own premises rather than renting from Amazon or Google.

The digital workplace brought in 31%. That covers laptops, desktops, virtual desktops and office software for staff. A virtual desktop is a computer screen whose real brain sits in the data centre.

Managed services brought in 23%: monitoring, repairs and help desks after installation. This is the part where the contractor comes back for the chimney.
