What the company does
LIL was set up as a partnership in 1989 of Purushottam Dass Goel and was reconstituted as a closely held public limited company in 2005. The company manufactures conductors and cables, such as low-voltage, medium-voltage and high- voltage power cables, aerial bunches cables, aluminium conductors (steel-reinforced and aluminium alloy conductors), power cables, PPC poles and substation components. It also has an EPC division for laying down T&D lines and construction of power substations under different government schemes. LIL began installing solar power plants from 2019. The daily operations are managed by Devendra Goel (son of Purushottam Dass Goel) and Jay Goel.
