Introduction
Silver Touch Technologies was incorporated in Ahmedabad in February 1995. Vipul H. Thakkar, a technocrat, promoted it alongside three others. All four had just come out of engineering. Thirty-one years on, it is a listed IT services company with more than 1,500 professionals. It states more than 4,000 delivered projects and more than 2,000 clients. The head office is in Ahmedabad, with further offices in New Delhi and Mumbai. Wholly-owned subsidiaries sit in the United States, the United Kingdom and Canada.
The last eighteen months have been busy at the share register. In January 2026 the board recommended a 1:5 share split. It recommended a 1:1 bonus issue alongside it, and an increase in authorised capital to ₹30 crore. The record date was fixed for 6 March 2026. Equity capital on the balance sheet stood at ₹12.68 crore in March 2025. By March 2026 it was ₹25.36 crore. Face value, the nominal amount printed on each share, moved from ₹10 to ₹2.
The order announcements arrived at a similar clip. January 2026 brought selection for the Uttar Pradesh statewide Smart Card Driving Licence programme. The Ministry of External Affairs re-selected the company for a long-term website and AI-features engagement. A Government of India order followed, to build a unified national digital transformation platform. February brought a long-term Managed Service Provider purchase order from FSSAI, the food safety regulator. March brought three more: the CM-KISAN portal for Odisha's OCAC, the CIMR AIIMS New Delhi digital platform, and an AI-enabled portal and chatbot for the Air Cargo Complex at Mumbai Customs. In July 2026 RITES placed a ₹6.27 crore order for an AI DPR appraisal platform. That work is to be executed over 24 months.
Infomerics, a credit-rating agency, reaffirmed the company's long-term bank facilities at IVR BBB+/Stable in December 2025. Total rated facilities came to ₹95.91 crore. The 32nd annual general meeting is scheduled for 24 August 2026.
Business model
Silver Touch builds and runs the software the Indian state uses to be a state.
The revenue mix disclosed for the three months to December 2025 puts software services at 51%. E-governance services are 20% and system integration 15%. ERP implementation is 9%, and cloud and facility management 5%. ERP is the software that runs a large organisation's accounts, stores and staff records in one place. The output behind that tidy pie chart includes chip-based driving licences, land registration counters and the human resources system of the Indian Navy.
Management described the naval project as covering more than 100,000 staff. It replaces a twenty-year-old system with a cloud-native platform, meaning software that runs on rented remote servers.
The government portfolio, per management, runs to roughly 250 active projects. Those sit across 22 central ministries and 10 to 12 state governments. Management cites a national disability registration portal deployed across 800 cities and a unified labour identification platform. It also cites a textiles ministry platform through which about ₹6,000 crore of interest subsidy has been disbursed. That money reached roughly 80,000 companies through ten banks. Gujarat urban development single-window citizen services span more than 70 cities.
The contract economics, as management described them, are unusual for a services firm. A typical large contract runs five years. Of every hundred rupees ordered, 50 to 60 rupees are billed in the first year. The rest arrives as operation and maintenance, at 8% to 10% a year across the remaining four to five. Build fast, then collect rent for half a decade. The order book stood at about ₹650 crore as on 31 December 2025. Repeat business accounts for 50 to 60% of it.
AI4Pharma Tech Ltd is a subsidiary incorporated to sell five AI products for pharmaceutical manufacturing compliance. These include batch record verification, label validation and raw material COA checking, which tests supplier certificates for incoming materials. Management states an addressable market of 25,000 plants worldwide. It expects annual recurring revenue of ₹1 crore to ₹5 crore per plant over three years. Per the auditor's review, three domestic subsidiaries they did not review reported combined revenue of ₹0.87 crore for the June 2026 quarter.
